An Heirloom uniquely and respectfully transformed

Welsh dresser handpainted, handles polished with fine wire wool and glass cleaned
Mark is a proud Welshman.

His beloved Welsh dresser was over 100 years old - a family heirloom handed down from his Welsh grandparents.

He asked us to help him transform it to complement his decor. It was a great honour to be trusted with its rebirth especially as Sue is also (very) Welsh!

He wanted to boldly transform it but wasn’t sure exactly how bold. So we undertook a gentle step by step co-design process with Mark visiting returned daily to feedback how felt the design was evolving. He chose a Midnight Blue Fusion Mineral paint and we started to paint sections of the dresser building up a coherent dark and light design with wax finishing and brassware detailing offering light relief.

We think the final result is a beautifully unique personal expression where the piece dictated what was needed.
