Reupholstery, webbing and materials

Why not reinvent your beloved treasure with fresh upholstery?
With years of experience and training in the art of upholstery, we’ve reupholstered a wide range of treasures including Ottomans, headboards, chairs, stools, dining chairs, footstools, and kitchen table bench seats.
For a typical chair we replace or mend the webbing (using a webbing stretcher), apply a flame retardant material to the ‘cushion’ (chair seat foam) and then cover and staple your chosen material to your piece.

Knobs and handles

choose from a range of knobs and handles
We have a range of knobs and handles to transform your furniture.
If you're happy with your hardware but need it polishing and making brand new we can do that too!

timescales
Your project can usually be booked within two weeks from choosing the paint colour plus allowing time for your paint to arrive.
We aim to complete the work, once agreed, within a week. Naturally this depends upon the amount of pieces you want to restore.

preparation is key!
To ensure success, preparation is an essential when painting your surfaces.
A typical piece might require the following work:
• Remove hinges and hardware
• Scuff sand and remove dust
• Wood filler for any holes or scratches
• Clean furniture with TSP to remove dirt, grease, oil etc
• Apply a Shellac primer (if required) and a knot seal
• Masking tape internal edges
• Orbital sanding if exposing bare wood
• Apply a wax finish or satin varnish to wood
• Apply at least two coats of paint
After varnish or paint, always allow a period for curing (typically 28 days) before day-to-day use.
